Meet Lauran Kinard!

Born and raised in DFW, Lauran Kinard is an accomplished singer, actress, worship leader, vocal coach, director, and teaching artist. She earned her Bachelor of Musical Arts from Dallas Baptist University in 2018 and has seven years of experience teaching music, theatre, and private voice/beginner piano to students ranging in age from four to seventy.
She has taught and collaborated with institutions such as Newman International Academy, the Arts Institute of Mansfield, Creative Soul Music School, Taylor Robinson Music, Mainstage Classic Theatre, and Chapelhouse Studios. Lauran and Joy first had the joy of working together years ago in The Music Man.
Active in musical theatre productions across the DFW area, Lauran has also performed with both classical and gospel choirs and currently serves as Associate Worship Leader and Coordinator at her church in Fort Worth. Beyond her professional work, she is a proud wife and mom of two.
With training in Broadway, gospel and CCM, pop/rock, and classical aria/art song, Lauran brings a versatile approach to teaching—tailoring lessons to each student’s unique voice, style, and goals, while inspiring them to grow beyond their comfort zone.
