About Joy

My name is Joy, and I’m the owner and founder of Dance With Joy. I have a background in musical theatre, having studied Vocal Performance and Theatre at the University of North Texas, followed by intensive training in Musical Theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City.

Over the years, I’ve worked professionally across stage, television, film, commercial, and print media, and I’m a proud member of the SAG-AFTRA union. I spent nearly 14 wonderful years living and performing in New York City, where I also discovered my passion for teaching. I  began teaching at local Manhattan studio which blossomed into Dance With Joy NYC, which grew to serve 12 schools and locations all over the city.

Now, I’m thrilled to bring the same high-quality, joy-filled performing arts classes to the Fort Worth community!

Dance With Joy’s mission is to inspire creativity, musicality and storytelling in a safe, nurturing environment. To cultivate imagination and explore stories of different perspectives so that they grow up with empathy, understanding, artistic pursuits,

and love for others.These classes are inclusive and for all people and capabilities.
